The Character might be moving, or even talking, but if everything around him in the scene is static – stuck like glue on a one dimensional plane, it can never fully engage your prospect on every level.

If you really want your videos to be engaging in every sense of the word, you need to captivate your viewers attention on both a conscious and sub-conscious level.

There’s always something going on in the background.

It might be the slight movement of leaves in a tree, a bird hopping around or a car going by in the distance, but it’s there – subtle activity that keeps the brain subconsciously engaged and enthralled with the movie.

So despite the many animated characters you have probably bought to star in your videos, and all the time and effort you put in to the making of your video, it still looks like time has stood still in the background.

It's like reading a good book...

Any author worth his salt wouldn’t just write “The sky was blue and there was a tree in the garden”. That's just boring!
